Hello, I am Olivia

A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to United States wasn't in the grand plan. Like many international moves, it began as a job chance and soon grew into something much larger.
The opening months were demanding — fresh systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Routine tasks felt more tangled than they should have.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines settled in. We found places that fit us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Petal Ridge Works
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in United States.
